With its massive resources and advanced technology, the group seems overwhelming. However, the free world has a powerful defense with the superhero team Gatchaman. Organized by Kôzaburô Nambu under the aegis of the International Science Organization and led by Ken Washio (Ôwashi no Ken), it is determined to prevent Galactor from winning.
